Beware DocuSign Phishing Campaign

DocuSign, an electronic signature service provider which is not associated with Sunbiz.org or any of its online filing applications, has reported a data breach.

Although approximately 100 million customer service emails were stolen, the company has issued a statement that “no names, physical addresses, passwords, social security numbers, credit card data or other information was accessed.”

It has been reported, however, that a third party is now using the stolen email addresses to conduct a series of malicious phishing campaigns.

• These emails originate from addresses that resemble docusign.com, such as docusgn.com and docus.com.
• They may contain a link to a Microsoft Word document containing malware.
